National Flight Tickets
Venezuela's domestic airlines (e.g. Avior, Aeropostal, Aserca, Conviasa and Rutaca) offer a large number of domestic flights to various destinations of the country.
However, it is currently impossible for foreigners to purchase domestic tickets from outside the country. Even online booking services of the domestic airlines will not yield in a valid reservation because they require a national ID card (cedula). International travellers have to use an agency (like Hike Venezuela) with the ability to purchase the tickets locally inside Venezuela (see also this thread on Trip-Advisor).
The prices of domestic flights are very affordable and quite stable however the closer you get to the departure date the higher the price.
Sometimes we have trouble to get available seats, because especially during holiday season like carnival, easter, christmas and summer break (mid july – mid september) the most popular routes are busy.
